How to: Turn on/off Software Updates in iOS 12
By default, Apple’s iOS automatic software updates are turned off, but if you don’t want your iDevices to bother you about frequent software updates yet want to keep your software up to date, you can enable automatic software updates in iOS 12.
The step is very easy.
First open the Settings app, Go to "General" > "Software Update", and tap on "Automatic Updates" to toggle the option from off to on. Done.
Automatic updates are turned off by default, so the default behavior of software updates isn't changing in iOS 12. Unless this is turned on, your iOS device will wait for you to manually tap the install button when an update is released, though it will continue to download new updates in the background.
However, if you don’t want the automatic software updates consume your traffic especially when you’re not connected with WiFi; or you don’t like the new version and just wanna to stay where it is, you can also turn off automatic updates. Just follow the same steps, and toggle the update from on to off. That’s it.
Hope this simple guide helps you. Leave a common below if you have any questions or want to share something with us.
